Social Media Policy

Social media helps us connect with and serve customers with timely content, creativity, and accessibility. We strive to be responsive in real time and actively join topics of conversation as they evolve on the many platforms we manage. You can follow any or all of our current social media accounts listed at neorsd.org/social.

Do not use social media to report emergencies or for specific billing or account inquiries. In the event of an emergency, please call our office at (216) 881-8247 during normal business hours or our after-hours line (216) 641-3200. Most water main breaks should be reported to Cleveland Division of Water at (216) 664-3060.

Social shares do not necessarily equate to an endorsement of a post in particular or the person, group, or organization in general. NEORSD is not responsible for any external content. Opinions expressed on the personal social media accounts of individuals connected to the Sewer District do not necessarily reflect those of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. Only official Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District social media accounts should be inferred to represent the opinion of the Sewer District.

By posting your comments or other work on our social media channels, your post becomes public record, and you grant NEORSD and anyone viewing the NEORSD irrevocable permission to copy, distribute, make derivatives, display or perform the commenter’s work publicly and free-of-charge. And hey, if we create a meme out of it, you are welcome and encouraged to share accordingly.

Use of social media by NEORSD as a tool to communicate with the public is meant to supplement and not replace the means of communication dictated by state and federal agencies and regulators.
